It's hard to take photos and shoot the cannon too, so I opted for the kaboomies. Will see if any of my pals took photos and add 'em if I can..

Had fun last weekend; went to an April Fools Day cannon shoot in northern California. Finally had a chance to learn how to shoot my cannon (bought at a tailgate sale many moons ago) without killing myself. Lessons learned:
-50cc of F Pyrodex will send a golfball out of sight!
-Aiming ain't trivial when the ground is sloping in two axes
-Ramrods should be a constant diameter, just in case (no, it didn't happen!)
-Pyrodex is corrosive; barrels need to be swabbed with soap and water, then oiled after use
-And best of all: not all cannon nuts are Republicans, heh.
